The organism that I tested in the bush medicine experiment was Luteus. We used five different plant extracts numbered 1,4,7,8 and 14. We also used methanol as a control. On each of the small paper disks, we transferred 10 microlitres of extract and methanol on a separate plate and incubated for 24 hours. The results showed that all were resistant to antibody
Sorry, I didn't know we needed the full bar code number of the extract sample. The last digit or 2 digits is all I wrote down. I looked through a list from Dr. Bean but I am aware that there was a sample 20190014 and 20180014. I am guessing we did the 2019. I also found a ""0008"" for both 2019 and 2018.
Interesting I did get something on 14. Anxious to see if anything comes of it!

Disk size 7mm - no antimicrobial activity observed for any sample.
Pseudomonas
was chosen as the organism for testing. Three of the available extracts were
tested, BMP20190017, BMP20190003 and BMP20190010 as well at the menthol that
was used as a control. 10µ of each extract was allotted onto each paper
disc on a Mueller Hinton agar plate. All
the extracts showed no susceptibility to the Pseudomonas as it grew right up to
all four of the discs however there was some yellowing of some of the discs. This isn’t a failed microbiological test; it just shows
that there is no antibacterial activity in these plants for this microorganism.
No susceptibility on 20190010, 20190015, 20190017
Technically none of the extracts exhibited clear antimicrobial activity, however, I believe it is important to note that for the extracts where partial clearing is mentioned, there was evidence of partial clearing around the disk for the diameters stated.
